Every once in a while, we need to fail in order to learn. I learned a lot about cake pop this week. My friend Natasha asked me to make some pretty blue and silver cake pops for her Bridal shower this weekend so she could give them to all of the kids as a special treat. I used blue chocolate and tine silver dragees, then hand painted silver accents with luster dust. I thought they looked great! But when I woke up the next morning to package them in cello bags with silver ribbon, I saw that probably about a third of the cake pops had cracked! Sad... But after some research, I discovered that my 'dough' was too cold. Lesson learned.... I just hope there were enough of the good ones for all of the kids to get one!
